Skye Silverclaw :: The Wandering Light

Skye's actual history is vastly unknown (even to me.. I need to figure out this guy's past D: ), but somewhere in his teen years he was enlisted into a mercenary group, performing deeds for only the highest pay. As such they were experts at what they did. Skye was a very low-ranking member of the mercenary group when their leader made a decision to take on a kidnapping and assassination mission for the daughter of a prestegious political figure in the area they were in. Despite his low rank and inexperience, Skye dispatched of their leader the following night using his light bending abilities for stealth and dagger for a quick and easy assassination.

Since then, Skye had been a wanderer throughout the area of Vescrutia, finally coming across a golden, sunlit plateau not too far from the Village Hidden in Nightmare. Intending to settle at the plateau and have friendly relations with the neighboring village, Skye quickly figured that the best way to move on with life was to accept their superiority and take the ranking exam for the Nightmare.

It was here that he first met Vash Steingard, his ranking proctor. After a long tussle, he was awarded the Chuunin rank out of spite. While annoyed by this, Skye was determined to push forward and prove himself to the village as a warrior. He and ZK had an uneasy relationship after they met. While skye looked down on him for his ways of thinking, he respected him as more powerful than himself. He eventually took a second ranking exam with ZK as his proctor, and was awarded the Jounin rank after accidently unleashing his Berserker technique, skipping past the Special Jounin rank that most others take on.

After that Skye settled into the village, even having his elaborate Ivory Tower transported from the Plateau to the Nightmare. He intended to oversee the village operations, make self judgments on people and the like, when he met a girl around his age who had found her way to the Nightmare. Alyss Frey was her name, and Skye took immediate interest in her talents and personality. Adopting her immediately and forcefully, the two had a very uneasy relationship. After Alyss was forced to reside in his tower, Skye became completely at her will, wishing only for her to one day adopt the same feelings for him as he already had for her.

They both left the Nightmare one night, without properly telling a soul. The reasons for this are also widely unknown, but their leave happened a few weeks before the Nightmare's destruction. Over the past year, they went their seperate ways, with Skye traveling the planet Vescrutia and training himself against the very elements themselves. He now returns a year later, to find his former home in ruins...
